Why should I choose Direct Line Maintenance Services Ltd?
Trading since 1996 we fitted over 1000 condensing boilers last year and inspected each job on completion ensuring the complete satisfaction of all our customers. Our quotes are free of charge and carried out by a qualified gas engineer not a salesperson. We have an optional aftercare package so you can rest assured of our continued support.
How long does it take to fit a new boiler?
We can usually fit a replacement boiler in one day but it depends on how much work is involved, we can advise you at survey how long it will take. Remember the survey is free.
How much energy will I save by having a new condensing boiler fitted?
On average about 25% but if your existing boiler is very inefficient you will save more. It is worth looking to see if you qualify for a grant for a new boiler or home insulation which would increase your energy saving.
Why doesn’t my breakdown cover provide cover for wear and tear?
Breakdown cover is exactly what it says. It covers your system in the event of an unexpected breakdown. Aged systems should be replaced or upgraded when corrosion is affecting the operation of the system. We will make safe and advise you if this happens.
Why do I need to have a room thermostat fitted with my new boiler?
Have you ever had to open a window because a room has become too warm? That heat and money literally goes out the window. A thermostat will turn off the heating when the room reaches a temperature pre-set by you and then turn it back on when the room cools again. The government introduced the Part L Building Regulations in April 2006 for the conservation of fuel and power. To comply with these regulations your new boiler must be thermostatically controlled, it will also save you money and make your home more comfortable.
How soon can a surveyor come to carry out a quote?
We can attend within a week normally and survey appointments are carried out Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 3.30pm in 2 hour timeslots.
Are all your engineers gas registered?
All our operational gas engineers are registered with Gas Safe Register (previously Corgi). If your engineer is working on a gas appliance ask to see his ID on the reverse it will tell you what types of gas appliances they can work on.
When and how do I pay?
We ask for payment on completion of the work, you can pay by cash, cheque, debit or credit card or by bank transfer. For breakdown cover you can also pay by monthly standing order.
